Super Storm Sandy passed through New York causing unimaginable damage. It devastated communities and destroying almost everything in its path. In November of 2012, our home was uninhabitable; the storm had wiped out our first floor, which was 3/4 of our living space. And Sandy wasn't finished doing damage as mold immediately started growing throughout our home. We needed a lot of help we had nowhere to turn because our families and friends were in similar situations. Then we met our General Contractor, Michael Higgins of 360 Restoration, and our luck started to change.

Mr. Higgins, who was recommended by a friend, came in to our home and assessed our damage. He listened us. He paid close attention to our concerns and needs and hopes, and he soothed our worries. He promised to get our house back together, and he told us we would be home by the following spring. Michael Higgins not only did this on time and on budget, he did so much more. Thanks to Michael, our house is much stronger and better than before. He addressed both problems and design in a thoughtful and intelligent manner. His ideas and solutions were sound, inventive and aesthetically pleasing. Michael has become a good friend to us and our neighbors. He has a strong sense of community and deep moral convictions. He is a caring man who voluntarily helped our neighbors with their projects and problems.

He successfully coordinated efforts and worked well with NYC Rapid Repair, Con Edison, the Department of Environmental Protection, the Department of Sanitation, and all the city agencies which were working in the neighborhood.

Michael is a hands-on project manager who made himself available to us 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We could call him anytime. If we had a problem, he would come running, bringing his considerable problem-solving skills. He is always willing to do whatever is needed. Although we've been back home for more than a year and a half, he still answers our calls and house-related concerns and questions. For us, he was the silver lining of this storm. We have been very pleased to recommended Mr. Higgins to our friends, and we most highly recommend him and 360 Restoration to the Build it Back team.

We would be happy to discuss this with you if you would like more information.

It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Michael Higgins, 360 Restoration. Michael was recommended to me in 2005 when I purchased my home and he did a great job cutting a wall in my house and building a door but he exceeded my expectation after Super Storm Sandy.

Michael was my general contractor after Super Storm Sandy damaged my home and my mother's house in 2012. The scope of work involved were removing and replacing hardwood floors, isolation, sheet rock and mole remediation. In the process, Mr. Higgins remodel my basement adding additional windows and lighting. He is a visionary and can solve any remodeling issues. In my living room my ceiling was warped and Michael suggested that I raise the height of the ceiling utilizing my unused attic space. He installed recess lighting and a ceiling fan giving my living room the appearance of a larger space.

My Mother's insurance company labeled her 1st floor apartment a basement and therefore didn't pay to repair the entire apartment. Mr. Higgins, knowing we couldn't afford to repair the apartment properly, worked within our budget using quality material. He installed a new boiler and hot water system and totally remodeled the apartment.

Mr. Higgins services as a contractor were invaluable, and I am extremely pleased with the final result. Specifically, I would give Michael top marks in the following areas:

  1. Quality of work performed. The quality of work done was consistently top notch. He was knowledgeable, skilled and competent.
  2. Quality of work crews. His workers were professional, reliable, courteous, and respectful of my home and privacy. I also found them to be trustworthy, and I felt comfortable allowing them access inside my home.
  3. Project management and coordination. Michael was knowledgeable about all aspects of the project, and was able to plan, coordinate and manage the activities of his work crews effectively. He remained closely involved in overseeing the project from start to finish. His excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills and commitment to follow-through enabled him to juggle the extensive details involved in my project without missing a beat.

I was very pleased with the outcome of the work completed on my home and my mother's home. These are the reasons why I can highly recommend Michael Higgins of 360 Restoration and without reservation.

Certified of NY, Inc.

I am a construction manager in NYC with over 13 years' experience, working predominantly on commercial and residential projects ranging from 2 million to 16 million dollars. I have worked on numerous projects with Mr. Higgins; with sub contracts awarded to 360 Restoration ranging from $40,000 to $600,000.

I can say with full confidence that Mr. Higgins is a highly recommendable, dependable contractor who regards his jobs with honesty, integrity, and full capability. He has a wide range of skill sets which include all avenues of construction from ground up work, structural implements, MEP work, value engineering, along with the determination to complete projects on time with all applicable code enforcements upheld.

I am currently working with 360 Restoration on a 12 story core and shell project on 36th St. in Manhattan. Mr. Higgins was awarded the demolition, plumbing risers, and floor leveling contracts for this project. Mr. Higgins picked up on a discrepancy regarding the riser and air handler connections which was overlooked by both the HVAC sub and the MEP engineer. This error would have cost the owner thousands of dollars in change orders and scheduling delays if installation had proceeded without taking this error into account. In addition, 360 Restoration recently completed the finishing work on a high end salon on Madison Avenue for me as well.

Manager, Chris

811 Walton Tenants Corporation

In the summer of 2010 the board of 811 Walton obtained the services of 360 Restoration to complete three projects, two of which required structural reconstruction to insure the integrity of the building. The third was a complete renovation of a 1929 bathroom. This bathroom had not been updated since the building was built and the conditions of the space were deplorable.

360 Restoration did a spectacular job on all three projects, going over and beyond what was required.

The integrity of360 Restoration and the honesty of Mr. Higgins are two things that seem to be lacking at times in the construction industry today.

The President and Vice President of the board of 811 Walton highly recommend 360 Restoration for any new construction or restoration work you and or your company may need.

I have had the distinct pleasure of working with 360 Restoration, Inc. for the past 2 years. I have contracted with 360 Restoration on over 10 jobs where general construction, demolition, plumbing and sprinkler services were required. Each job was performed with professional aptitude and expertise. I have always been able to rely on 360 Restoration's performance as the work is completed thoroughly, promptly and with the utmost integrity. I would like to express my appreciation for the excellent service and attention to detail 360 has provided.

Specifically, 360 Restoration demonstrated excellent proficiency at the job in the Landmark Cast Iron So Ho District in Manhattan. The 100+ year old landmark building nicknamed "The GreeneHouse" was expertly transformed to a modern office building. The neglected building was originally factory scrap wool in the late 1800s. Today, the building is an ultra modern luxury building with pristine finishes.

As Project Manager for the owner, I worked closely with Mr. Higgins to make sure not only the needs of the building were met, but the owner's as well. Simply put, the Greene Street project was a challenging job. Effective communication and dedication permitted the job to be completed in record time. Throughout the project, I felt that 360 Restoration truly acted as a partner with not only the Owner, but with each member of the construction team. Michael went above and beyond the call of duty numerous times in order to keep the job on track.

The cooperation and collaborations that Michael brought to the table everyday was greatly appreciated. The atmosphere resulted in a truly enjoyable project experience for everyone involved and a successful end. I sincerely look forward to the opportunity to work with 360 Restoration again.

Sincerely,
Mr. Yousefzadeh Project Manager
